We say goodbye to our Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Soulful Image Magazine
Tracey-Acadia Thomas
July 18, 1976 - December 29, 2021

We at Soulful Image Magazine must sorrowfully inform its readers and subscribers that its Editor-In-Chief, its leader, its heart and soul has passed away and joined her journey with God on December 29th, 2021. Although she is a much better place, she had to leave behind her two young boys and her loving devoted husband. We all would like to thank Tracey for her love, her grace, her humour, her enthusiasm, and her passion to follow God to the very end. She will be greatly missed, but eternally loved.

Tracey-Acadia Thomas was a devoted Christian and a global faith lifestyle ambassador.  She was a wife, and mother of two boys, who spent the majority of her time in the things of God. She led a women’s ministry called "Soulful Women: Soul Sistas Women of Purpose," geared to encourage and inspire women in their journey with Christ.

 

Through this ministry, she founded Soulful Image Magazine and since its inception in January 2014, Tracey has been recognized for her contribution to the community as a business owner, author, writer and entrepreneur.

 

She was nominated and won the Woman on Fire Media Award in April 2015, Built To Inspire Premised On Excellence Award September 2015, Queens Rising Together Award Toronto in February 2016, 100 Black Canadian Women To Watch June 2016, 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Publication in June 2016, and selected as a Role Model for the 2016 Black Women Awards in July 2016  - inducted as 1 of 100

Black Canadians into the "National Wall of Role Models" to inspire, unite and showcase excellence and a positive image from our community. She won the Queens Rising Award in 2017,  Junction of Excellence in the Advancement of Women Award was Nominated for the 2018 & 2019 Waterfront Award Celebrating Outstanding Women, also nominated for the 2018 & 2019 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Award and the iLead Leadership Susan B Anthony Award. 

 

She was also the founder of Faith Filled Books and CEO of Thomex Inc, the Corporation house to many of her businesses.

 

She was the co-owner and Director of Operations of Fareal.com alongside its founder and her husband, Allister Thomas. She managed all the operations under the Fa.real brand, such as Fa.real Clothing, Fa.real Custom Tees, the comic strips Bigg As Life and Cady's Kids and its graphic division Fa.real Designz N Print (FDNP).  They are also the creators of the highly successful East York Gear clothing collection. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tracey is the author of "Count Your Blessings Financial Workbook: Speaking The Word Of God Over Your Finances which was published in 2008.  She is a co-author in the book Baggage To Blessings compiled by LaTonya Sheppard in December 2016 and Thought Leaders, Visionaries & Influencers Vol. 2 compiled by Ronnie Swais in 2018.  She also released her own anthology leaders book project, SOUL FULL: Secrets of Love, Faith and Walking in Purpose which was released in 2019.  



She had a passion for empowering women and families to overcome hardship and reach their greatest potential through faith and hard work.

Her core beliefs in God, family, community, music, and writing were her greatest passions in life and driving force.  She always was and will continue to be an inspiration and blessing to all she has encountered. We love her, we will miss her but we will wish her well on her new journey with God.
