A YEAR OF GREAT POSSIBILITIES!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
It's finally a new year, a new beginning, and a new way of thinking and being. 2020 was a difficult year for so many of you. And I can imagine the anxiety of questions for this new year. Are things going to go back to normal? What's going to happen to my business or my job? How is my family going to make it through? What about my health or my finances?
The best thing you can do to put your worries and anxieties to rest is to pray. Pray with the knowledge that God cares about you and what you are going through. But you must stand firm in faith knowing that everything concerning you will be okay. Focus on what you can do which is to plan for your future and believe that you can achieve what you want according to the purpose and plans God has for your life.
Focus on a plan. A plan to find a job. A plan to increase your finances. A plan surrounding your family. A plan that would incorporate ways to get yourself to the place you need to be in your faith so that you have a mental foundation of strength that you can attack through these challenging times and make it through. You are not alone.
Surround yourself with the right people, resources, and energy you will need to stay positive, hopeful and in action to get what you need in this next season. It all comes down to you. What you do, think, and attract is based on your beliefs, thoughts, and words you speak over your life. So let's get it together and make this a great year.
Take the lesson from your last decade to build on in this next decade. And make sure you live a lifestyle of faith, love, and walk in your purpose in order to live the life you were meant to live to impact the lives of those around you.
I pray you will stay focused, prayed up, encouraged, and intentional in creating a fantastic year no matter what shows up in your life. Because how you respond will set the tone for your breakthrough season. So make today mean something because tomorrow is never promised. Have an amazing 2021. Wishing God's best for you and your families in Jesus' name!
Sincerely Yours,

LET LOVE BE THE HEARTBEAT OF YOUR LIFE!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Many of us have made LOVE a complicated thing for years. As we celebrate this month surrounding the theme of love focusing on relationships, my heart has felt the need to focus on LOVE a bit differently this year. With all the challenges of losing jobs, financial worries, isolations, mental health stress, deaths, lack of direction, maybe too much sleep, overeating, and negative interactions with spouses, children, and extended families, we must advocate for every human being going through hard times right now.
Although LOVE is something that should be practiced every single day, I encourage you to first acknowledge that despite your life's story, you were created from LOVE. And while some of us have very complicated family stories, You were still created out of LOVE. I say this because God created You for a purpose that surpasses your circumstances, family standing, or financial position right now.
The power of your existence is surrounded by the purpose of your end story. From the beginning, the journey of enlightenment and transformation, to the very end when you return to Him who created you to exist in this time in history.
Therefore you must explore LOVE, the gift of who you are in the eyes of your CREATOR, Almighty God, who has an unshakeable LOVE for you. Meaning there is nothing you can do to separate yourself from His Love.
With that said, He has Loved you with an AGAPE type of LOVE, giving you the power and the freedom to create, multiply and impact those around you.
Let's talk about Love, loving God to fulfill your purpose, and loving yourself through self-care. You cannot love effectively if you cannot love yourself. Love yourself and you will know how to treat and love others. And as Love is expanded through the multiplication of humanity through sex, we must understand the origin, science, and intent of sex and intimacy, in order to have a deeper understanding of its power within relationships.
To love oneself is to accept all the unique things about you from your ethnic background, your personality, to what makes you special through the gifts and talents given to you to serve in this world. Once we are able to accept ourselves then we can accept one another. With this also being Black Awareness month, we choose to focus on the Love of our Black Community, or brothers and sisters so that we can collectively stop some of the negative stereotypes, negative mindsets, behaviors, and negative expectations that create great divides within our communities. Once we powerfully learn how to LOVE, then we can finally create healing, understanding, and new bridges that can fill the gaps of our negative history that sometimes keeps us bond as a community.
I pray you will level up all the areas of your life through acts of intentional love. Let's do our part, change the world through living a lifestyle of faith, love, and walking in purpose!
Sincerely Yours,

OUT OF LOVE FLOWS THE FULLNESS OF GOD!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
One of the greatest things you were given this past year was time. Time with your families, time to pivot in your business or career, time for self-care, time to spend with your family, time to complete projects you may have procrastinated on.... and even though you may have suffered a great loss, and various challenges or not, we all have received the opportunity to step back, rest, and take some time as the world was in lockdowns.
Thankfully February was a time to refocus on love, however, we should commit that focus all year round starting today. Therefore, how you love God, yourself, and others are important elements of your life that encompass your faith, purpose, and life's journey. And no matter where you are in your journey, as long as you are learning, growing, and changing the better off you will be. Because how you love will affect the next generation and the efforts we make to overcome some of the mistakes and general curses of the past.
Therefore, my heart says that you are ready to take those steps to change and increase your focus on living a lifestyle of faith, and love. Be intentional in abolishing negative fears and views surrounding sex in your marriage. Because you cannot love or explore the fullness of sex without faith. God is love, but you must have faith that God (love) exists. And there will be moments when your feelings conflict with your will to love. It is in those moments that you need to make the decision to act according to scripture in faith.
We are commanded to love God with all of our hearts, mind, body, and strength and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Also, love and sex are important components in marriage. But what do you do when your emotions conflict with these commandments? You must pray and ask God to give you the compassion to forgive, the heart to care, the ability to invoke change, and the willingness to act regardless of how you think or feel. Because we all struggle from time to time with people and circumstances that make it hard to love and sometimes it makes it hard to fully engage sexually with your spouse.
Love is not just a feeling but also an actionable choice. It might not always be easy to love, but the more you practice loving God first, you will honor him by keeping His commandments through a close relationship meant to mold and grow you into the best version of yourself for today. But know that this takes time and practice on all levels.
So take that step of faith and love more. Take time for self-care. Take time to spiritually connect with your spouse and your creator so that you will have the strength to do what you are called to do in your life. Be gentle and kind with yourself and others because life is a journey. Things will not happen overnight. Many of you have suffered trauma, heartache, and many pains that make it difficult for you to love freely. Let God heal you by giving Him your pain, and he will turn beauty from your ashes.
I pray that God's love will enter your life in the most miraculous ways, filling your heart, mind, and spirit with such an unconditional awareness of God's presence in your life that it will change you in ways you never thought possible. I pray that your love will attract perfect love in your life in every way, healing generational brokenness causing you to become an undeniable beacon of love in your life.
May the glory of God shine bright with you today and always. Continue to support, share and contribute to our magazine where possible so that we can continue to share God's love, inspire faith, and fuel your purpose, in Jesus' name!
Sincerely with all my love,
Sincerely,

THE POWER OF FOCUS
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
In I Chronicles 12:33 the writer describes the brave men who helped David wage war. As we see, they were not double-hearted; they were focused, stable, and trustworthy. They stuck to their sole purpose in life.
God taught others in the Bible to be single-minded in purpose. When God called Abraham, He told him to leave the past behind and to focus on the place that God would show him. Being single-hearted was what Paul spoke of when he said to let go og what lies behind and prss on to what lies ahead. Being single in purpose was what the Lord was encouraging Israel to do through the prophet Isaiah: "Do no remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing!
Our problem is that we always want to hold on to the past and still go into the future. There are times when God tells us to move on, but our souls are still tied to the place we need to leave behind. That causes a double heart, and when we are double-hearted it is difficult to find peace of mind.
Jesus siad, "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other..." In James 1:8 we read that a person who is of two minds is hesitating, dubious, irresolute, unstable, unreliable, and uncertain about everything he thinks, feels, or decides.
We need to avoid having a double hear and a dual purpose in life. Instead, we should be decisive people. Leaders especially should be able to make decisions and then stick to them. If we make decisions and then continue to go back and forth in our minds about whether we did the right thing or not, we are unstable in our ways. We need to hear from God, and then make a decision based on what He has said to us. Once we have decided something, we need to do it with all our hearts, and totally commit to it.
Also, we need to be focused and single-hearted with respect to God's gifts and calling. In Romans 12 the Apostle Paul talks about the different gifts of grace that have been given to the individual members of the body of Christ. He says hat if you are a teacher, you should give yourself to your teaching. If you are a giver, you should give yourself to your giving. If you are an exhorter, you should give yourself to exhortation. In other words, Paul says not to get overly involved in things God has not gifted you for and called you to do. Resist the temptation to get entangled in things that do not help you accomplish your goals. Do not be double-minded. If you believe you are supposed to do a specific thing with your life, then be consistent in your belief. Stay on track and remain focused and stable, always pressing toward your goal in the power of the Holy Spirit.

GETTING THROUGH THE TRIALS OF LIFE!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
If you knew my full life story you would understand why I am the woman I am today. I've struggled harshly with relationships within my own family (my parents and siblings.) I was forced to leave home and find my way alone at the age of 13. I went to high school in my senior year on student welfare in my own apartment dreaming to find my purpose, dreaming to find my life's path.
You might look at me and think I got it all together. But if it wasn't for my faith in God, I don't know where I would be today. I was emotionally broken, abandoned, rejected, spoken badly about because of conditions surrounding my severe depression. I struggled with addictions, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-doubt, low self-esteem, negative suspicious thinking, and a lack of trust of people's intentions towards me because the scared little girl inside me had been devastatingly hurt by my foundation people through physical, verbal and emotional abuse.
It took me a long time to realize that I was suffering in silence for a long time in constant pain. I ran away from everything and anyone that made me feel worthless and unwanted or had me question their loyalty to me because the emotions were too big for me to manage at times.
And as time went on food, cigarettes and recreational drugs were my best friends before I gave my life to Jesus. These past things were my ways of escape at the time. I also indulged in watching daytime soaps and excessive tv as a means to live my life by living through the characters lives I watched even if it was just for an hour or two.
I struggled with my weight my entire life because of emotional imbalance for years. So I can imagine what demons people have been suffering through the past year during these lock downs. Over-eating, binge tv watching, lack of focus, lack of motivation, unhealthy relationships, and abuse has been on the rise, and so much more unhealthy behaviours due to Covid. Finally, I decided it was time to take action and deal with a lot of these unsettling things. I went to the Lord and I followed my heart.
I share this because many of you have been struggling within yourselves trying to find your own self worth, trying to get through some of the difficult relationships in your life, trying to overcome physical and emotional traumas from your past while trying to endure with grace through the present. We all struggle. We've all been hurt. We've all had to deal with some form of trauma. We've all had to forgive even when no apology was given.
I am someone who has fought hard to overcome many of these things. I have worked hard at becoming the caring, loving, driven woman I am today. And even though I am not perfect, even though my life is not perfect, even though still to this day I battle through painful disconnections from people I love... I still get triggered by thoughts, actions or lack of actions of people close to me... but it is my faith that keeps me grounded and keeps me hopeful and keeps me pushing to see another day. It's my faith that pulls me through and let's me know that everything will be ok as long as I have Jesus. I always say in faith that in Christ ALL IS WELL! I know that God is fighting for me. I know that God is fighting for you and I am determined to get the VICTORY!
I have learned that I am responsible for how I look at my life now, how I act and react, and my own healing journey. If you don't try to fix what you can then things that persist are your fault. So, I encourage you in whatever you are facing today to Pray about it. Take spirit-led action. Rest. Then, let God handle the rest.
So no matter what has happened in your past, no matter who abandoned you, rejected you, or made you feel unloved or unworthy, God will help you heal, make you strong, change your thoughts, and put the right people around you to support the new you... the confident you... the brave you ..the ready to truly live, you... and the renewed you. People might not understand who you are, your pain or your willingness to renew your life, but God does. And He will support your journey if you ask him to. Through everything you have made it through, God will use it to help other people overcome the things you have. And He will be there to guide you through while you are still going through....
With all that we've been going through this year my intention in this issue is to help you to follow your heart even through the difficulties of life. Connect to your soul, your passions, your dreams... and live a life of faith, love, compassion, and grace.
Through your journey you will discover your path, and your specific purpose. When you do, don't be afraid. Follow your heart and let your spirit within light the way.
May you continue to press through your life's journey with joy, hope, love and peace. Don't be so hard on yourself. Those that truly love you will be there. Those that don't do not deserve a role in your life. Great things are coming for you my friend. .

GET READY FOR THE LAST MONTH OF THIS QUARTER!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Every time I think about how fast time has passed us by, I am in awe of life's time clock.
To truly take advantage of every moment is to appreciate the small things right now. We are in the final month of the 3rd quarter of this year and if you are like me there is still much to do. But my heart truly wants to focus on some simple things...
***Appreciate the ones who truly love and support you.
***Appreciate the opportunities you have to live in harmony and peace.
***Appreciate your freedom to love, show up for yourself and others, chase your calling, and enjoy the things that make you happy.
As we prepare our children to go back to school, let's send them off with the warmest deep centered love we possibly can. It has been a challenging few years for them academically, emotionally, and socially.
I encourage you to let them know that they are wonderful human beings that are fully supported in this new season of adjustments. Do not be too hard on them. Show them as much grace as possible while still being balanced with training them up in the way they should go.
Have an abundant, joyous, faith-filled September.
Praying for your strength to press through this month in complete victory!
May you continue to press through your life's journey with joy, hope, love and peace. Don't be so hard on yourself. Those that truly love you will be there. Those that don't do not deserve a role in your life. Great things are coming for you my friend.
Just believe.

DAVID RECOUNTED HIS VICTORIES TO OVERCOME!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Life will always be full of challenges, but the Bible says do not be afraid.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Don't be afraid of the things God is calling for you to overcome or grow from. Strength comes by enduring through suffering, challenges, pain, and great difficulty, but be encouraged that the joy of the Lord will give you strength.
When David volunteered to go out and fight the giant Goliath, nobody encouraged him. Everyone told him, "You're too young. You don't have the right armour or weapons. He's much bigger and more experienced than you are," and on and on. Even King Saul questioned David's ability to overcome the boastful Philistine. But David encouraged himself by recounting the victories God had given him in the past.
If you want to do something for God, you must understand that there will be hundreds, maybe thousands of times when Satan will come against you to discourage you. Why? Because he knows you must have the courage to go forward and fulfill God's good plan for your life. When you become discouraged, you become weak and lose the courage you need to go forward. What must you do in times of discouragement? Shake it off in faith and recount the victories God has already given you. Have confidence that He will be strong in your weakness and use you for His glory.
Thankfulness leads to happiness. Be thankful for your journey, no matter what that looks like. Through thankful meditation, the Holy Spirit will enter in when you ask Him to and give you the strength, tools, and power to overcome.
May the glory of God shine bright with you today and always. Continue to support, share and contribute to our magazine where possible so that we can continue to share God's love, inspire faith, and fuel your purpose, in Jesus' name!

Happy New Month Soulful Community!!!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Wow! And like a blink of an eye, we are in the final month of 2021!
With Christmas and the New Year quickly approaching, let's pause for a moment and just breathe. For some of you, this year has had many ups, downs, peaks, and valleys, while for some may have been a very steady year of losses or wins. No matter what you have faced, James 1:2 says; Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
You are to stand in these truths and give everything over to the Lord Jesus.
It is your time for a shift! Your spiritual appetite is changing where you will want more of the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. You will no longer be comfortable around people or places you have been around that have kept you stagnant. You will want to surround yourself with people of vision, world changers, ministry leaders, and people filled with passionate purpose.
It is your time to hunger for new ideas, projects, and assignments to advance the Kingdom of Heaven.
I pray that this month will lead you into opportunities that will lead to more peace, love, joy, and thankfulness. Just remember you are not your own. You belong to your heavenly Father, who has created you for the purpose of being a blessing. Someone is praying for your gifts, talents, and resources. As you give freely from your heart may you be blessed abundantly so that you are able to give more abundantly and live more abundantly. May God increase your faith, peace, joy, and love every single day, this month, In Jesus' name. Amen!
May the glory of God shine bright with you today and always. Continue to support, share and contribute to our magazine where possible so that we can continue to share God's love, inspire faith, and fuel your purpose, in Jesus' name!
Sincerely with all my love,
