LET JOY BE YOUR COMPASS!
"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice!" ~ Philippians 4:4
Many times when you are going through things that are stealing your peace, it is because you are not focusing on the things that give you joy. There is a reason why God says repeatedly in His Word to rejoice in the Lord always! Because rejoicing is actually the undeniable ingredient to your miracles, breakthroughs and favor in your life. Nothing can keep a blessed man or woman down when you count all things as joy!
"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing!" ~ James 1:2-4
Everything you do should be done with joy! Find ways to think on the things that excite you. The more excited you are in life, the more it will attract more things to be excited about. Imagine that! Imagine a life of pure joy! It is possible to experience a life that you are content with which in turn will cause you to seek the same for the ones around you. Being able to endure anything with a positive outlook is key. Nothing can bring you down if you are able to count everything as joy as a test proving your obedience. But be patient with yourself. You will not be able to develop this overnight. It takes commitment, focus, and practice in order to see progress.
Joy is a choice. You have to commit to intentionally focusing on things that are lovely, exciting, or overflowing in goodness!
Think on These Things
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think on these things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.…" ~Philippians 4:7-9
The more you practice being a person full of joy, the quicker you will see your own transformation.
Just to share with you, I suffered from very strong feelings of sadness and depression for many years. I asked God to help me change my natural state and to increase my joy. He told me everyday before I leave the house with the kids to put on a Happy Song and dance and sing as if I won a million dollars!! This exercise helps you get into the realm of joy easier and easier everyday.
And each day it would evolve into me visualizing things that would bring me joy. One thing I had longed to do was travel all over the world. So while rejoicing, I would throw my hands up and when I looked up into the sky I would see different places, London, France, Paris, New York.... This has worked so wonderful for me that in the past year I have traveled 3 times in 6 months. I hadn't gone anywhere before this. So you can imagine the joy I felt getting on the plane and visiting some amazing places!
Joy as the compass of your life will only attract more joy. So be intentional! What will bring more joy to your life? Now go do it!!

LIVE FAVOR MINDED!
"Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous, you surround them with your favor as with a shield." ~ Psalm 5:12
Living favor minded is a mindset, energy and very intentional. You can expect favor and still be humble. But first let us examine what favor actually is!
Favor is when someone assists, gives you an advantage, or preferrential treatment.
When you live in the realm of great expectations miracles, opportunities and amazing things will happen in your life. Walk with an aura of favor. As a son of God favor is your birthright. The forces of darkness can see the favor on you sometimes even more than you at times. That is why you must correct your thinking and straighten your crown. Expect preferiential treatment but be humble. Humility itself brings favor. And God will frustrate the proud to bring you to a place of humility so that you can bear the proper fruit. But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." ~ James 4:6
Your value is placed on you by God. You are precious to Him.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life!" ~ John 3:16
He sacrificed everything for you and I. Therefore receiving Christ means connecting to the divine. We continually receive Him through our thoughts and our words. So the same way you received Him by receiving through your thoughts and the confession of your mouth is the same way to receive your blessings.
You must take an inventory of your thoughts and words. What thoughts are you allowing to control your mind space? What words are you speaking about your situation? Many of you are not receiving your breakthrough because your thoughts and words are not in alignment of receiving. Sometimes we complicate our walk with God when we don't have to. We think we need to fast for everything but if we would acknowledge God with praise and thankfulness daily you will see results.
When you are experiencing and going through things that don't make sense to you, keep standing on the Word of God. It cannot fail you. Keep your thoughts and Word's in alignment with the outcome you truly want. Thinking about negative things and complaining or speaking about the hurts and upsets of the past will derail you from your breakthrough and cause great delays. So I encourage you to be intentional about the things you are saying and thinking. This way you can not be knocked down when God's favor is on your life.
Even if you have been through the valley the word says,
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.." ~Psalm 23:6
