Fundraiser for Ryerson University and Food for The Poor Canada - Marsha Brown Celebrates her 50th Birthday by giving back in MOMENTOUS way!

Marsha Brown, Vice-President, Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women's Empowerment - philanthropist and social justice/women"s rights advocate celebrates her 50th birthday. To mark this milestone she will be hosting a fundraiser/birthday party.

Over 120 family members, guests and sponsors were on hand to make this milestone a success.

Marsha Brown has participate in three school builds with Food for the Poor Canada (FFPC) and treasured these experiences. With that said, she created a campaign to build a home for a needy family, in Jamaica Nov 2020. It has been well documented that this basic need, is fundamental to the success of a family, in particular children. Her fundraising goal is $10,000 with 100% of the funds going towards the build. Marsha has donated $1000 to get things going and would like to enroll you to assist in realizing this dream. Attached is the donation link and a bit more information:

In addition to this, Marsha has also created The Women Champions of Diversity Award at Ryerson University her alma mater, where she is a director of the Alumni Board and is a member of the Viola Desmond Awards Committee. I know you are thinking, wow Marsha that's very ambitious. Last year she donated $2500 to the Viola Desmond Awards at Ryerson for female students facing financial hardship and thought she could expand that in a more tangible way. The University through the President’s Awards to Champion Excellence (PACE)—a program designed to remove obstacles to education for people from underrepresented groups will match the $10,000 award.
